Concept
Aggro Sajj is a relatively newer archetype, and most lists are pretty close to budget already. After chipping down your opponent with typical aggro tools, the win condition is Fireblaze Obelysk + Intensified Accumulonimbus on 8.
Why is the general Sajj instead of Zirix? Well, actually Zirix most definitely should be the general for this list, due to his more aggressive BBS and extra synergy with Fireblaze Obelysk. In the upgraded version of this list, Wildfire Ankh is the key card that justifies Sajj: it allows your general to keep her distance, forcing your opponent to come to you and into Accumulonimbus range. However, this list does include some pieces which allow Sajj to get some incidental value, and often opponents try to rush her down anyways.
Cards
Bodies
Golems
- Golem Metallurgist
- Celebrant
- Dreamshaper
The tried and true Vetruvian 2-drop package. Gives you good board presence early on and keeps the cards flowing.
Other
- Flameblood Warlock
- Blaze Hound
- Fireblaze Obelysk
Neutral aggro staples + aggressive Obelysk.
Removal/Burst
- Staff of Y’kir
- Scion’s First Wish
- Scion’s Second Wish
- Bone Swarm
- Accumulonimbus
Out-of-hand damage (mostly with some restrictions: requiring either an active minion on board or proximity to your general). Their exact usage depends on the matchup, but for the most part just run them out whenever possible for extra damage.
- Blood of Air
- Sandswirl Reader
The Vetruvian 5-drop spot removal package. Always strong, but especially good in an aggro deck like this since the chunks of 2 damage really help shorten the game.
Gameplay
Throw everything at face. Due to all of the 5-drops, your curve is relatively high for an aggro deck, and with all your card draw effects (especially the powerful card advantage from Dreamshaper) you don’t have to worry about running out of gas. One especially nice thing about this list is how good it is against the most popular deck on the ladder, Wanderer Ragnora: you have great removal for big things, Bone Swarm to deal with Ripper Eggs, and even an attack boost in Staff to prevent getting janked out by Egg combo.
Upgrades
The really key card is Wildfire Ankh, which as mentioned above is the main justification for running Sajj at all. Spelljammer is also important as another source of card advantage with an aggressive body. Beyond that, you could possibly add the artifact burst package of Aurora’s Tears and Time Maelstrom, an additional Golem in Wind Striker, and Gust as a backup Accumulonimbus.
